Taylor Henley- Presidents Calling

President Calling:

John F. Kennedy: The Cuban Missile crisis. Kennedy is worrying about the Cuban missile crisis and calls up Eisenhower to ask if he things they will shoot the Cuban Missile crisis. When Kennedy talks about governor Barnet he looks to solve the crisis over the telephone which I find very interesting because instead of bring the person in he wants to try and solve everything over the telephone. He talks about the different responsibilities and the worry of his people. I think talking over the telephone does not solve as much as if it were face to face. The say in the podcast that Barnet has Kennedy wrapped around his finger which is the problem with talking over the phone. Kennedy is trying to solve things over the phone with Barnet and flooding Mississippi with troop but there are many differences between Barnet and Kennedy on flooding troop if they are armed or unarmed. Which this a uproar in white racists and stop Marideth. President Kennedy worries and tells Barnet that he is will expose Barnet.  Over the phone Barnet tries to make a deal with Kennedy which is the problem with talking over the phone because there is no face to face contact.  Kennedy stresses about order and what is going to happen in Oxford and he must trust Barnet that he will get order in Mississippi.
