I listened to three of President JFK's audio files. They were JFK debates Governor's Decision to bad James Meredith, JFK Addresses Nation Prematurely on Success in Mississippi, and JFK Demands Barnett Take Charge of Riot. I am going to talk about the first mentioned recording. I am amazed that the color of ones skin could effect their chance of going to a good college. I am so thankful for the past Civil Rights Leaders for taking a giant step for equality between different races, especially between white Americans and black African Americans. If that did not occur the United States would not have an African American president in office in his second term as president. I am also amazed that JFK did not ignore to the Supreme Court to let James Meredith into Ole Miss, even though it could cost him votes in the southern states. JFK was able to do this while still avoiding violence from riots to occur, which proves to many that he was a great president.

I to listened to the phone calls about the admission of James Meridith to the University of Ole Miss. I really think this event was a game changer. It is one of the reasons why I can go to school with people who aren't necessarily the same race as I am.
