We spent today getting back in mentaol gear after the short weekend, focusing intently on the Progressive Movement.
We studied the Political, Social, and Economical ways in which politicians of the early twentieth century attempted to improve life and liberty in the United States. They extended democracy through a secret ballot, they attempted to hurt bad trusts and regulating business, and they established protective tariffs.
Remember, Wednesday is the date of Terms Quiz #21, so have your Vocab journal ready and be ready to take the quiz.
We spent today focusing mostly on a political cartoon on anti-expantionist policies in the United States.
We reviewed Moral 'Suasion briefly, then moved onto a cartoon depicting an extremely overweight Uncle Sam, heavy with the weight of other states added over the years, while anthropomorphized anti-expansionist policies attempted to spoonfeed him anti-fat.

Today we took our ID terms quiz #21. Chapter 24 pg. 798 if you don't know. Also Ms. McCarron took our notebooks for grading. We then had a discussion on the foreign policy system.
Today we futhered our lecture on the foreign policy system and the different types which are: isolationism, collective security, internationalism, and imperialism. Also we went over the MAIN causes of WWI. MAIN is also an acronym for Militarism, Assassination, Imperialism, and Nationalism.
Haley Jensen reviewing for Monday and Wednesday's bloggings. I felt like both bloggers did a good job describing what we did in class and it was enough for students to get the jist of what they had missed if they were absent.
This blog gave us a good refence in what notes we need to get if we missed class today. she gave us a mini lecture of what we did and once again was brief and to the point. well done
