Today in class, we turned in History Fair! Yay it's finished! After the ordeal of turning in projects, we had a lecture on Andrew Jackson; his phrase, "to the victor goes the spoils."; and porkbarrel politics. We did not have any pickups and we don't have any terms!
*Please keep Trey Watson's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they confront the loss of such a wonderful and accomplished young man.
Today in class we picked up a sheet on the Age of Jackson and filled out the sheet dealing with political, social, geographic, and economic matters. We then discussed how the Age of Jackson was the Age of the Common Man and how they related.

Thank you Allie, your blog post was very nice to read. Finally NO MORE HISTORY FAIR! Whoopie! I liked what you wrote at the bottom; it was very sincere.

Today most of the class was absent. The people who were there worked on a worksheet that helped make an outline for the Jacksonian Era Essay and turned it in at the end of class. For people who were not there make sure you get that sheet, fill it out, and turn it in.
Today was another crazy day in APUSH! We picked up a movie question sheet about the Gold Rush. Then we headed to the media center and viewed all the History Fair projects. After that, we returned to class only to watch the movie for about ten minutes when the fire alarm went off. So Friday was really non eventful class work wise.
*TERMS 15 is due one February 4th!
*The Lincoln Softball and Baseball team have their opening days this Saturday, Feb, 6th! Baseball @ Lincoln, Softball @ Florida High!
Friday in class we went to the media center and looked at everyones history fair projects. Then we came back to class and watched part of a movie on the gold rush migration out west while filling out a worksheet.

Allie did a great job explaining the craziness that occurred on Friday when we looked at history fair while trying to watch the movie with the fire drill. She also looked ahead and reminded everyone about the terms and promoted the baseball and softball games which should be fun!

Thank you, Apiphany. I was one of those absent in class today. Now, thanks to you, I know what I missed and what I need to complete. Thanks again.
