2nd period
Today we took our quiz on our terms list then after that we read a handout. The handout had information on foreign affairs such as the Monroe Doctrine, the annexation of Texas, and the dispute of the Oregon country. We also filled out a half sheet of paper finalizing are history fair topic, what you are doing, and if your will be in a group or individual.

Welcome back and Happy New Year!!
DBQ Projects were returned today. The blue grade sheet has points for the different parts of the DBQ elements (Questions w/docs, Doc Info Sheet, Sample Essay, Rubric, and Annotated Bibliography). These points were calculated to closely match the percentages for each element reflected in the "Lovely Lavender" packet. The only adjustment was to provide some points to reward those who submitted the different parts to Turnitin.
Tuesday, 1/6 Cont’d
Sketch ad annotate the painting American Progress by Gast. Class discussion by using L.I.E. New Blog schedule will be out sometime this week. It will go in revere order.
We watched a film called The Great Game about economics in early American History. Pick up the handout w/questions and watch the film after school.

New Blog schedule will be out sometime this week. It will go in reverse order.
Class discussion addressed using the sketch, annotations, and your own knowledge to write an essay-- what is missing-- facts, specifics, and time. Be more specific in your work. Make sure you are answering questions!!

We filled out a card about our History Fair project for this nine weeks. Projects are due 1/21.
Notebooks were collected
We took IDQ #14-B using the clickers.
We finished the film from earlier in the week-- The Great Game
Blog schedules still to ocme and IDQ# 15 will probably be next Tuesday. Look for the handout on Friday.

Tuesday is the quiz on Terms List #15, so all terms should be done by then. History Fair is coming up soon so we have a break until are next quiz which isn't for a while, but it's time to get working on history fair.
