Monday, January 12th

Today we went over the president in order from #1 to #16. We then discussed about the presidents and took notes on them and what each of them did. Tomorrow is our quiz on Notecard List #15 so all terms need to be done.

Today we took our quiz on Notecard List #15. After that we continued are discussion on the Mexican War and who contributed to the war. We received two pick-ups, the blog sheet telling us when we blog and when we review, and another little sheet thats due tomorrow that you have to read a quote and then defend your position on it.

today we discussed history fair for the first 20 minutes or so of class. If you are in a history fair group you need 20 sources PER PERSON, not for the whole group. then for the rest of the period we discussed the Compromise of 1850 and the underground railroad.

2nd Period
Friday January 16

Today we began class by sketching, annotating, and discussing a political cartoon. We continued the class with a discussion on the various parts of the Compromise of 1850.

Three day weekend! Don't forget to work on History Fair! The annotated bibliography is due 1/22 (THURSDAY)!

On Smith's first blog (January 14, 2008) we learned that exhibt boards should not be a mush mash of color. the colors should be limited to two or three and they should also tyr to connect a theme of your project. Also Mrs McCarron felt that taller less wide boards are far better for history fair.

In Smith's second blog (January 15 ,2009)we laerned that even though we are supposed to have 20 sources per person in are group there are going to be two or three that might be the same. The annotated bibliography is in one single packet with all the group members names on it.
