Thursday, 1/22 M Munroe, 2 Topic: The Jefferson Age Received history fair rough draft, with comments and corrections. We discussed the Patterns of Westward migration, according to 8.7 and 8.8 in the American History Primary Source books. Discussed the Jefferson administrations, contrasting his first administration and his second administration. No notebook quiz next week. Upcoming Unit Test on 1/28. For future reference: Terms notebooks will not be requested from select students. Approximately 5 students during each notebook quiz will have an oral quiz instead.
Friday, 1/23 M Munroe, 2 Topic: Jefferson's Second Administration- The Non-intercourse Agreement and The Embargo Act Distributed: Assigned blogging dates, Unit 5 Study Guide Activities: Discussed the requirements for blogging this nine weeks (reviewing will not be extra credit), then discussed Jefferson's strategies to escape British and French impressment. Discussed the political cartoon, Ograbme (embargo backwards). Important dates: The Winter Formal, scheduled for tonight, has been canceled. The Unit test next week, as well as the study guide, are due 1/28. The paperwork for History Fair is due next Friday, 1/30. The final History Fair project is due Monday, 2/2, but will be accepted for full credit until before class Tuesday, 2/3
