Stephanie Williams- 5th period- Monday October 13, 2014
Today in class we lectured on how the Spanish explorers wanted different things when traveling to the New World; joint-stock companies; the Virginia Company of London and the Virginia Company of Plymouth; Jamestown and John Smith; the Navigation Acts; and how to locate Chesapeake on a map.
The History Fair planning sheet is due Wednesday October 15th in class
The PSAT is also Wednesday October 15th
The unit test is scheduled for Friday October 17th
No terms or terms test for this week due to the unit test
Monday 13th, October - Lauren Stander(P.2)
The topic today in class was the coals of the Spanish and British when coming to either colonize or dabble in "glory, God, and gold", based in Chapter 2 and 3 of the textbook. No work was assigned or collected. The method in which we learned was listening to the opening song in "Pocahontas" about the Virginia Company and taking notes on the lecture give. The history fair worksheet is due on Wednesday October 15th, today was the last day to make up missing work, and there is the unit test on Friday October 17th.
Stephanie Williams-5th period-Tuesday October 14, 2014
Today in class we started by reading section 1.3, 1.6, and 1.7 in the American Issues book and answered two questions on the text. The reading included the successes and failures of the Spanish and English settlement and exploration.
Next, Ms. McCarron handed out some ivory sheets for short responses to questions similar to the ones on the APUSH exam and we went over a question on the Columbian Exchange.
The History Fair planning sheet is due tomorrow, in class, completed, Wednesday October 15th

The unit test is scheduled for Friday October 17th

Tuesday, October 14
Grace Weng - Period 2
Today's topic was how the Spanish and English explorations differed. We read from the book American Issues to learn about those differences. We also looked at short response questions and how to respond to them.
History Fair Assignment #2 is due on Wednesday, 8/15
Short Response is due on Thursday, 8/16
Unit Test is on Friday, 8/17
Stephanie Williams-5th period- Wednesday October 15, 2014
Today was the PSAT which lasted from 1st-4th period.
Today in class we turned in our History Fair Planning Sheets, and she reminded us about the Short Response questions that are due tomorrow in class. The questions are located on schoology.
Also today in class we watched a movie about black history in which we wrote down the topics that should be discussed in the classes that missed the movie.
The unit test is Friday October 17.
No terms or terms test this week.
Lillian Sander - 2nd Period - Wednesday October 5th, 2014.
Today we took the PSAT so we were not in class. The test lasted from 1st to 4th period. Tomorrow the history fair planning sheet is due for those who did not have the opportunity to turn it in today. Tomorrow the short response questions are due in class.
Unit test Friday the 17th.
Lauren Stander - period 2 - Thursday, October 16th
Today we discussed the practice short answer (Question 1 on the yellow sheets) that was previously assigned on Tuesday, October 14th and began work on a timeline for the Unit Test tomorrow (Friday, October 17th). We are supposed to finish the timeline (at least 10-15 events). We also received a map the we put in our notebooks for later use. Tomorrow i the final grading day for this nine weeks.
Friday, October 17
Grace Weng - Period 2
Today we took the Unit 2 Test and turned in our lecture notebooks for a grade. We also got the third history fair worksheet and terms list 8 which are both due on 10/22/14.
Thursday October 16
Taylor Henley- Period 2
Today we discussed the Columbus Short answer on the yellow sheet. We peer graded them. We then began the timeline for the Unit 2 test that takes place on October 17. The timeline with 9-15 events is to be glued of taped in your notebook on a left side in your notebook. Our unit 2 test is tomorrow.
Also the go to Cox stadium tonight fort the Lincoln/ Leon game @ 7.
Friday October 17,2014
Taylor Henley - Period 2
Today we took our Unit 2 test. We turned in our lecture notebooks for final grading of the unit. We also received our terms list 8 and are to being them and are due Wednesday October 22. We also received our 3rd history fair sheet that is also due son Wednesday October 22. Today is the last day of the grading period.

Teacher Planning Day
There is no school today for students as it is a teacher planning day. We will be back on Tuesday the 21st.
Report cards distributed on the 29th of October.
Terms list #8 quiz is Wednesday October 22nd. Also on that Wednesday our 3rd history fair sheet is due.
