Tuesday, 9/30 Melanie Munroe, 2 Topic: The Road to the American Revolution Chapter 5: pgs 123-155 Any term notebooks with a stamp were collected. In class: Terms List/Quiz #6 postponed until 10/1. The class was grouped up, with each group reading a section of the chapter. The groups got together to create a children's story about their section. The class began presenting these stories, but didn't finish. Important dates: Terms List/Quiz #6 postponed until 10/1.
Wednesday, 10/1 Paige Nicholson, 2 Topic: History Fair and Civil Rights Movement Materials Distributed: Lavender sheet with an article on this year's History Fair. Blue ribbon sheet for our DBQ. White sheet with History Fair topic chart which is due Wednesday, 10/8. Class Activities: We took a quiz on chapter 5 terms. After we read the lavender sheet on our own. when everyone was done, we talked about History Fair and that it will be done individually in the 1st semester and that we need to be thinking about possible topics and filling out the chart on the white sheet. We then talked about the DBQ (pink, green, or blue sheet) and higher thinking skills. Due dates: White sheet is due Wednesday 10/8. Individual DBQ sheet is due tomorrow. There will be another terms quiz on Tuesday 10/7.

Materials Distributed: "A Time For Justice" question sheet Activities: The class viewed the film "A Time For Justice" while filling out the corresponding worksheet. After the film, we discussed how to analyze DBQ documents. Important dates: White sheet History Fair sheet is due Wednesday 10/8. The next terms quiz will be on Tuesday 10/7.
