That is correct. Also, the extra credit opportunity is to portray your favorite historical character on video. The website is http://www.samsungsuperhero.com/?utm_source=Superhero%2Bblast&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Samsung%2BSuperhero.

Have a good break; hopefully you've rested up for this last nine weeks!

Amberley Bailey, 2nd Period

Today in APUSH was the first day of the 4th 9 weeks. We were assigned (picked) Push me-Pull me partners for blogging. In other words, one person in your group will blog and the other will review each night.

Mrs. McCarron collected money for the APUSH Practice Exam, which will be held Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. The cost is $4, so make sure to try to bring in your money soon! She would like a head count before Friday to insure there will be an adequate amount of prints of the test and snacks for us kids. It will be held in the forum.

A slip of paper was passed back today, saying that we will be taking the APUSH Exam in May. Everyone signed their signature next to their name and wrote down the date.

The rest of the class was spent adding information to our essays that we had pieced together before break. We were allowed to use any textbook located in the classroom. The essays with the added information was turned in at the end of the class period to Ms. McCarron.

That is correct. We also got a slip of paper about grade review for after the APUSH exam if we receive a 4 or 5 on the exam.
**Just as a reminder, the APUSH practice exam is on THIS Saturday, March 31 from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm or THIS Sunday, April 1 from noon - 5:00 pm. The practice exam will take place in the Lincoln Forum.

Today Ms. McCarron was not in class due to having to monitor the PERT Testing.
We picked up a white sheet of paper at the door while walking into class. It was the original version of the essay that we put together on the days right before break and yesterday. We had 15 minutes to read and answer the question about the essay then that was to be turned in.

We had the rest of the class period to write a similar essay. Our blue books were passed out and we were to write the essay in the books.

Just a reminder the Extra Credit is due today! The terms quiz that was supposed to be tomorrow has also been moved, the date of it is TBA.
**Remember to bring $4 and sign up for the APUSH practice exam!

That was very thorough, good job!

Also, our final grades for the third nine weeks were finalized. They can be found in both the email she sent out and in ParentPortal.

The blogging schedule was passed out today. Due to errors, Ms. McCarron made clear that a revised one is to be posted to Schoology. This half sheet of white paper was the only handout to be picked up at the beginning of class.

Today students took notes in class on the progression of major unions emerging in the second half of the nineteenth century along with the introduction to the aforementioned topic by way of a brief summarization of the increase in the amount of laborers.

Today was the last day to turn in money for the practice test, though it is advised that if you have not turned in money yet to still take the practice test this weekend (either Saturday at eight AM or Sunday at twelve thirty PM). The DBQ that is written during this exam will be counted as a grade and must be made up outside of school if the practice test is not taken this weekend.

Today students continued to take notes on labor unions of the late nineteenth century. At the beginning of the period slips of paper were handed out as reminders of which days students signed up to take the practice APUSH exam this weekend.

Study up, kids.

A weekend reminder that terms are due soon. The last four terms lists of the year have been posted, so it's up to you, the student, to block out your time responsibly in order to get them done.

Be sure to focus your studying for the exam on the areas you did poorest on the practice exam this weekend. Study hard. Get some sleep, and be ready for Monday.

Good post!
In addition, the main focus of today's lecture was the strikes and other events organized by the labor unions, such as the Pullman Strike and the Haymarket Square Riot.
