Today we read and went over the two essays that we received on Friday. We also went over the answers to the questions that came with them. Towards the end of class we lectured for a short time. Remember that our test is this Friday!
Today we received summary sheets for our test on Friday, so remember to fill them out and complete your timeline for the test this Friday. We also received a sheet of documents, and our homework for tonight is to read them and be ready to discuss them tomorrow.
Ryan did a good job of summarizing what we did on monday in class. Also everyone should remember to keep up with their history fair projects so that they don't have a bunch to do the night before!

Since nobody posted I will. Today we discussed the documents that we received yesterday. We got into our blogging groups and determined what outside information that we could use to answer the question.
Remember that our test is on Friday, so make sure you fill out your summary sheets. Tomorrow night we will have a review on nicenet.
Today we finished lecturing on Unit 5.We lectured on the generals of the civil war both in the Union and the Confederacy and how many generals in the Union it took to get to Ulysses Grant. We also talked about the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments and what they did to change society for mainly the blacks but also the whites.
For all of the procrastinators our summary sheet and timeline are due tomorrow. Tonight there will be a review on nicenet. Be sure to study and do well on the test tomorrow!

We did take our Unit 5 Test that day: Triumph of Nationalism. Remember that doing the summary sheets and time line help boost the grade of your test while also helping you study, so I recommend doing them.
History fair still does not have an exact due date, but we do know the following: -The Process Paper must be less than 500 words and describe your reason for choosing your topic, method of research for your topic, reason for choice of display of your topic, and the pertinence of your topic to the theme. This will be due either Friday, February the 4th, or Monday, February the 7th. -The overall project, with bibliography and process paper (unless you are doing a historical paper, in which case you do not need a process paper) will be due either Friday, February the 11th, of Monday, February the 14th.

Ryan did a good job of listing everything to remeber for the week. He forgot to include that in class on Tuesday we lectured about the civil war.

We will be taking notes every day this week. Don't freak out, Mrs. McCarron has our notebooks and that's why you can't find yours.
Also, Term List #16 quiz is Tuesday, so study that. There will not be a terms list for the week after that because of the History Fair.
Process Papers may be due Friday.
BRING IN CANS!
Also, don't forget about Boys and Girls State. If you're interested grab a sheet from the guidance office.
