Monday, 10/25 Breanna Maldonado, 2 Practicing the DBQ Today is Monday and it's the start of a new week. Today we were given either a green sheet or a pink sheet which consisted of a list of documents and a DBQ question. We went through some of the documents and began to LIE about each document. Don't forget Terms List #8 is due tomorrow and we will be having a quiz! The list is on chapter 7 which starts on page 195, so make sure you finish those up and study!
Thursday, 10/28 Breanna Maldonado, 2 More DBQ Practice! We are almost done for the week! Today we went over the essay on the DBQ question concerning the French and Indian War that we have been working on this week. The essay was passed out Wednesday and we were supposed to give the essay a score based on the rubric that was printed out on the back of the essay. We also discussed some things we remembered about the French and Indian War and we took a few notes on the war which will probably be continued tomorrow. Don't forget about Terms List #9 which is on chapter 8 starting on page 227. The terms are not due until Thursday (11/4) because of the testing going on Tuesday and Wednesday, but you probably want to get a start on them.
Thursday, 11/4 Reviewer: Kirsten Brown, 2 Breanna was very thorough in her comment, but I would like to remind you all about how Mrs. McCarron grades Terms Notebooks and Quizes. The Notebooks can only recieve an 95% UNLESS you go above and beyond by drawing pictures or doing a brief summary of a few potentially confusing terms at the end of the section. I also suggest highlighting the term in a different color than the significance because it makes studying much easier and Mrs. McCarron much happier. The quizes are generally our of 25 questions,so miss 4 and you still have an A. The last 4 or 5 questions are generally reasding questions (the longer, more difficult ones not directly based off of terms). Mrs. McCarron drops the lowest quiz grade excluding the final quiz of the nine weeks, do there's a little buffer there. Don't be afraid of studying guys! It can never hurt (unless you decide to study at 1 a.m. or something crazy like that).
Today in class we began notes on Unit 3 and learned about NGTIR (Now Go To Instant Replay), and drew a hand in our notebooks in order to help us remember what is stood for. We also spoke about History Fair for a short amount of time. Remember that we have a quiz coming up on Terms List 9 on Thursday of next week.
Sunday 11/7 Reviewer: Kirsten Brown, 2 Commenting on Tuesday 10/26 We took a quiz today on Terms List #8. I know that we just had a Unit Test and so that homework came before the terms, but we also just got back from a three day weekend, giving you plenty of time to finish your terms and study. Before the quiz, Mrs. McCarron rearranged our seats based on the color of our documents. You should have been seated next to someone of the opposite color. Combined, you two have the entire packet for a DBQ with the prompt "How did the French and Indian War change the economic, political, and ideological situations in the Anglo-American colonies". We began to LIE about these. Tomorrow, we are furthering our discussion, so be sure to have all of your documents LIEd about by then. It also wouldn't hurt to put a breif summary next to each document.

Breanna did an exceptional job explaining the day's activities. She gave us a breif description of what we learned and talked about that day but could have included page numbers in the text book for reference. She also gave us a reminder of the due dates for different assignments within the next couple of days.

Ryan did a good job on explaining in short what we did on Friday. He could have given page numbers for the terms but he did include what day it was on. He could have talked about the history fair more in its entirety like reminding us about the research topic handout that was for homwork.
Well i was not aware that i had to blog from the a week that was already completed but today is Halloween. Terms list nine is due tomorrow. Dont forget them like i always do. Happy Halloween
Today we had the terms list quiz 8. Afterwards, we worked on the DBQ assignment. This was all done along time ago so my memory has faded through the months.....
