Doing something VERY out of character (although I'm not sure if it's allowed for people who aren't assigned blogging to blog, so maybe it IS in character haha) BUT i just had to tell the like 3 people who will read this what i just found.
So i found a website, and not just any website, but an amazing, euphoric, dazzling website. I'm talking the epitome, the Holy Grail of APush websites.
It is pretty much an APUSH textbook, review book, and apush google all wrapped into one online and easily accesable form.

Today we took notes on the Election of 1896 and 1912 and discussed William Jennings Bryan's role in both elections even though he never won any election he ran in. We also listened to one of his speeches called the Cross of Gold. Mrs. McCarron also talked about course request forms and externship.
DON'T FORGET the script is due tomorrow in class and also on turnitin.com tonight!
Keyur was correct. We took the Terms list #22 quiz yesterday. If you missed it, the make ups are on Wednesdays. Remember that Ms. McCarron moved the script due date to Wednesday.
Today we gave our course request forms to Ms. McCarron to sign us up for gov/econ. While she was doing that we filled out a compare/contrast worksheet on Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. Du Bois.
Linda and Taylor both did a great job in summarizing the class Tuesday. Remember that all make ups are on Wednesdays. Also remember that there is no word bank on make up quizzes, so study hard.
Keyur is correct, but I would add a few other points: the course forms were also taken to Mrs. Sperling to sign for externship (if she had not previously done so, and after we filled out the compare and contrast worksheet, we were given a student's essay (DBQ)answering the essay prompt at the top of the original worksheet. We were to analyze the essay, highlighting new information (that was not found in our text book)and read the essay a second time, looking for the writer's claim and supporting evidence, constructing a "visual connection" instead of merely underlined phrases. Also, we turned in our scripts (with the signed student and parent "form". The storyboards are due either Friday 4/16 or Monday 4/19 (no penalty). Terms List 23 will be due Tuesday, 4/20 and will most likely be handed out tomorrow, but can also be found on the APUSH calendar.
Today we drew two political cartoons. One delt with immigration and the last one was a cartoon that would help us remember some of the presidents during the Progressive Era.
Just a reminder: our storyboards are due either Friday or Monday (both days will be accepted)!
Linda did a good job on summarizing what we did on Thursday. The first political cartoon, in more detail, were 5 guys who were finally dressed who were stopping a guy who was not so well dressed and carried everything with him; this pertained to immigration and how America didn't like those kind of people. Besides both of the cartoons Linda forgot to mention that we did start to talk about the Progressive Era and we did a pentagon diagram to help us with it. Overall, good job Linda.
Sunday/Friday? 4/18 Big weekend for APUSH. Storyboard is due tomorrow...print it out at mchistory.com. Terms are due tuesday so you might want to get a head start.
Great short and sweet review for the weekend. Just a qualification, Storyboards are due if you didn't turn them in on Friday. Also, thanks for the reminder of where to print it from...also, it would probably be helpful if you typed everything in instead of having it all hand-written.
Blog was pretty short and sweet nothing really detailed. Taylor got straight to the point with what is due on the weekend and what is up and coming for next week. As for what we did in class on Friday was we went over the Progressive Era pentagon diagram that we started on Thursday. Also we picked up our terms list for the next 2 weeks (final 2 terms list) and we also picked up review sessions (when and where). That basically sums it up for what we did on Friday. Good job Taylor.
V. Durden On Monday we took terms quiz 22 leaving only two terms quizzes left for the entire year! Rejoice! Course request forms were discussed and are being signed this week for gov/econ next year!
V. Durden On tuesday we talked about William Jennnings Bryan and his role in the 1896 elections (in this election, Bryan was nominated by two parties and had two seperate tickets). You all might be familiar with Bryan as the prosecution attorney in the Scopes-Monkey trial that we learned about in Lang. We also learned about the populist party and its role in the progressive era.
