We finished up the allegory images and explanations for the DBQs the groups were assigned for about 15 minutes. Then one group from each of the 2 types of essays paired up with an opposite essay's group to give 10 minute explanations on the essay, how they organized the documents, and how their image was relevant.

At the end of the period every group turned in the image completed, the "blue" ribbon, and the one-page summary response to the image.

The Unit 3 Test is still scheduled for Thursday (11/05) according to the calender online, and a Second Source Sheet for the History Fair DBQ is also due this day.

Today we began our learning experience by meeting in our DBQ groups from last Friday and finishing up our projects for about 15 minutes. Then our groups were paired with a group of a different color to share content and take notes on the information from the other group in 10 minute time periods. At the end of class, our groups turned in an image allegory of their information, a completed blue ribbon sheet, and a one page summary of the allegory containing events. (also, we wrote a graphic organizer in our notes of the content of the DBQ, however, that will be turned in as part of our notebooks.)

No handouts were given today.

Get a fresh start on those terms! The quiz will be on next Tuesday, the 10th of November on Terms list #9, which deals with chapter 8 in the book (begins on pg 227)(It will make you FEEL GOOD!, tell me why in class tomorrow for a special surprise).
Also, a second source sheet (which is reccomended to be a secondary source sheet)for History Fair. will be due on this Thursday, November 5.
We also have a test on Unit 3 this Thursday (3 days!).

In class we continued to take notes on Unit III for the test that is TOMORROW. They were mainly about the Coercive Acts that were established after the Boston Tea Party, and then led up to the Articles of Confederation.

Don't forget that tonight there will be the help session starting at around 8:15-8:30 on Nicenet (class key = HZ27509Q60).

Summary Sheets and Timelines for the Unit III test are also due tomorrow so try not to put them off until the very last minute tonight! The secondary source sheet for history fair that was due tomorrow, has been moved to Friday (11/06) due to the test.

Remember to study, and if you just happen to have extra time it may be a good idea to start on those terms for next Tuesday's terms quiz! There are 28 terms for this one.

Good job. Nice reminder about the test, also Ms. McCarron said that she will accept the source sheets on Friday because of the test on Thursday.

Today in class, Mrs. Mccarron was unfortunately unable to be with us. We had Mr. Cummings as a substitute and we watched a video entitled, "Africans in America, brotherly love". We had a worksheet to do on this, we got through question number 15 in class. A source summary sheet was due today as well. Remember the next terms quiz is right around the corner, tuesday. Get on those terms if you haven't started them yet. Don't put them off until the last minute.
Have a great weekend

Today we were missing our leader, Mrs. McCarron, but we mannaged to soldier on. The sub, Mr. Cummings, told us how fablous Mrs. McCarron described us to him and at the end of class he said that we had held true to her acclamations. We watched a video titled " Africans in America, brotherly love" and reached question 15. Also, a source was due for the research project - of which NO lates were accepted!!! (Hope everyone turned it in on time!)
The next terms quiz is coming up quickly so if you have time get started on them this weekend so you dont have a late monday night. (Even though my warning falls on mostly deaf ears im sure).
Oh, in other news - the Fair is now open. Have a good weekend!

Good job on the specifics, like the question we left off on. Again, you wrote a good summary.
