Today in class we swapped term notebooks and graded each others' notebooks. Terms list # 7 was due today. We then took the terms quiz which had no reading questions. After the quiz, we picked up an essay on the French and Indian War. Follow the directions at the top of the essay and fill out the diagram on the back. This is due tomorrow in class.
Today in class we drew a political cartoon and talked about the content of it. We talked about Unit 3 and the Revolution. Besides the lecture we were told that we had a terms quiz tomorrow on terms list #7 and that we had to go to Mrs. McCarthy's room the next day due to FCAT retakes.
Today we took more notes on the French and Indian War. We talked about Fort Duquesne and Fort Necessity. The essay assignment was not collected. We will work on it later. Tomorrow a hard copy of the history fair topic selection worksheet is due. It can be found at http://www.mchistory.com/McHistory/History_Fair_DBQ_Projects.html
-Thursday, 10/22 -M. White, 2 -Imperial Reorganization of 1763 Today we turned in our Topic Selection Worksheet for history fair and then we continued our notes, beginning just after the Treaty of Paris. We lectured on the Imperial Reorganization of 1763 which covered Greenville's program. The major topics were the Sugar Act, the Stamp Act, and the difference between internal/external taxes and direct/indirect taxes. For homework over the weekend, we are supposed to score the essay (which we picked up on Tuesday) according to the AP guidelenes on the back of the page...remember T.O.A.D.! Also, don't forget that our next set of terms are due this coming Tuesday, the 27th.
