In class today we picked up a map, a document about Christopher Columbus and a Unit 2 Summary Sheet. We took a little bit of notes on the discovery of the New World by Columbus and read the document and analyzed it.
The Summary Sheet is due on FRIDAY because that is the day of our TEST in Unit 2!!!!!!!! Also don't forget that the Secondary Sources Sheet is due on Thursday! Terms list 7 is not due until NEXT Tuesday. Oh and make sure you turn in a hard copy of your DBQ submitted to Turnitin to Ms. McCarron.
In class today we took notes again on the discovery of the Americas. Except today we moved onto the Columbian exchange and how it impacted the world. Did you know that chocolate came from the Americas and not Europe??
Don't forget that the Secondary Sourcing sheet is going to be due on Thursday morning! Summary Sheets are due Friday because that is the day of our test so study up! And remember notebooks are due with the test so if you're like me and haven't done that matrix yet you should probably do it! Also Ms. McCarron said that the review chat session on nicenet will be TOMORROW night not Thursday so get on there to study!
Wensday October 14, 2009 Kaitlin Ward Today we has PSAT's, so our class did not go to APUSH. Tomorrow the first secondary source sheet is due and also the Blue Ribbon sheet is due. The blue ribbon sheet has the essay on the back if your wondering what to do it on. Also, Friday we have a Unit test! Study Study Study!! Friday, the summary sheet along with the timeline is due.
Today in class we took notes about Jamestown. Also we went over how to use nicenet and our sources sheets again. The source sheet can actually be turned in on Monday. Tomorrow we have Unit Test # 2 so you should study. Also the summary sheet and the timeline are due tomorrow! Remember to study you can go to nicenet.org I think and get lots of help! Study hard tonight and good luck on tmrws test.
Today in class, along with taking notes on Jamestown, Ms. McCarron so kindly reminded us that our source sheets MUST be typed, the handouts for which can be found at http://www.mchistory.com/History_Fair.html. As mentioned before, the due date for the first source sheet has been moved to Monday, so get on that and remember to use the right color printer paper for each one.
Today in class, Ms. McCarron reviewed the material that would be on the Unit 2 test. She advised us to look over terms lists 4 and 5 (these are the only lists that will be included on the test). Also, she spoke quite a bit about the History Fair, concerning topics being to generalized (such as Rock and Roll) and reminded us about the source sheets and what each was for. BE SURE TO HAVE NOTEBOOKS UP TO PAR considering we are handing them in on test day!
On a lighter note, for those of you who are extremely dedicated trojans football fans, there is an away game in Madison tomorrow night. I know it's a haul out there, but come out and support our TROJANS!
Today, every class took the Unit 2 Test. Hope you did well!... The only "homework" that you might want to consider doing, would be Terms List #7, it'd be very wise to get a head start on this work which is currently due 10/20/09-this upcoming Tuesday.
For those of you who are interested, don't forget Guys Soccer Tryouts are Monday-Wednesday starting 10/19/09.
