Today we took notes on the Cuban Missile Crisis, and talked about political cartoons on it and the Berlin Wall. So if you were not here today make sure you get those from someone. We will have a quiz on terms list 5 tomorrow, so make sure you do your terms.

Today we took a quiz on list 5 and graded our terms notebooks. After we finished the quiz we talked more about the Cuban Missile Crisis. We also received two handouts. One is an essay due by Wednesday morning no later than 7 a.m. to turnitin. We will go over the other handout in class tomorrow

Today we picked up two hanouts as we walked in the door one we will go over tomorrow, the other is an essay that is due no later than 7 Wendsday morning to Turnitin. We then took our quiz on Terms List #5.After that we continued taking notes on the Cuban missile crisis. I would also highly reccomend that you study your 21 terms because that will most likley help you on the quiz.

-Your prompt for the essay is compare the way in which TWO of the following reflect tension in colonial society...Bacon's Rebellion, Pueblo Revolt, Salem Witchcraft trials, and Stono Rebellion. Hopfully these look familiar(they have all been previous terms). Ms. McCarron also asked that we spend no more than 45 minutes on the essay.
-Just in case you don't know the Turnitin ID is 2813413 and the password is historyrules.

Wednesday 9/30 Prow

Today we did an activity with the blue and white strips of paper that we picked on Tuesday. We matched them up and had a lecture about the them. No homework or terms were assigned and nothing was turned in or picked up at the door.

Today we did the activity with the blue and white strips of paper that were received yesterday. We found our matches and figured out which were the "goals" and which were the "effects." This activity was meant to see what programs/acts were founded and produced during Kennedy's Administration.

No homework was given, and we still don't have terms list #6.

Thrusday (10/01)

Today we discussed the blogs for a little bit and figured out the problem about posting.
Then we looked at a photograph from the 1963 Birmingham civil rights rallies and made literal statements and inferences on it, and then made an overall generalization on.

We got the terms list for 6 & 7 and number 6 is due Thursday October 8.

Today we discussed the AP exam and the DBQ requirement. We looked at an example of a graphic from a DBQ and made literal and inferential statements about it.
We also received our Terms List 6 and 7 (on the same page). The quiz for List 6 is planned for October 8th (next Tuesday). If you were absent and need the list, you can find it on the calendar on the front of the blog.

Today we picked up two pieces of paper at the door. One sheet was questions on a movie that we watched in class on the civil rights movement. The other was a "blue ribbon" organizer which is supposed to help us organize the documents we recieved at the end of class yesterday. We will finish organizing our documents in class next week. Homework is terms list number 6, and to make sure you understand all the documents that we have recieved this week and completed the graphic organizers that went with the documents. I hope everyone has a great weekend and Go Noles tomorrow.

I hope everyone's weekend was relaxing and a lot of fun. This week we are scheduled to have our Terms List 6 quiz on Tuesday. Don't forget to highlight the significence of the graphics! Our next quiz is scheduled for Tuesday the 20, so don't be afraid to get a head start on this short list. Have a nice Sunday, and I'll see you all tomorrow.
