EEK! The APUSH exam is on Friday! Today during class we recieved our scores from the practice exam, but only the multiple choice score was accurate as the essays were given generic scores. Then Ms McCarron entered in possible scores based on factors like not doing any essays, or failing to do well on the multiple choice or doing perfectly on the multiple choice but not writing any essays, which really brings you down. So don't skip the essays. :) Then we watched a movie called "The Century: America's Time" and filled out the first half of a work sheet. The second half will probably be filled out tomorrow. Remember to study hard for the exam on Friday but don't be late because she will knock off a letter grade!

- It's Cinco de mayo! Today in class, we discussed how to tackle the multiple choice portion of the APUSH Exam. We discussed looking for word association of the question and the choices and the effect of the time period to help eliminate some choices.

- Also in class, we watched a video on the changes that occurred during the 1950s; how America transformed into a consumer nation, how social stability (high marriage percentage, like homes and consumer goods throughout different homes), and the coming rebellion of teenagers influenced by the time's musicians such as Elvis.

- Things to Remember:
- Part B of the Take Home Test is due tomorrow, 6 May.
- APUSH Exam is this coming Friday! (8 May) Also, remember to show up to the Exam site on time. For tardiness McCarron will drop you a letter grade. Be at the Civic Center and SIGNED-IN by 7:30am. Best to get there 15 minutes before that.
- Part C of the Take Home test is due Friday, so you will turn it in on Monday. Best to do it before the exam, what would be the point if you didn't.

Just to let everyone know, there is one last APUSH Review at Holly McArthur's house on Thursday. If you plan on going, you should notify Mrs. McCarron beforehand, so she can know how much pizza to order, and give her $3.00 for food.

APUSH exam is day after tomorrow so remember to study hard, and the big review is at Holly McArthur's house tomorrow afternoon-evening. Today in class we watched another movie about the 1950's and the Cold War and its aftermath. We also filled out a half sheet about it. Part C of the take home test came out today, due Friday but since we're not in school it's due Monday. The textbooks are also due Monday, for 100 points credit. Everyday that they're late it is another 25 points off your grade, up to -200 points total.

Gah! APUSH Exam is tomorrow! Today in class, we simply discussed things pertaining to the exam; how to prepare for it, what time to be there, etc.
- Be sure to be signed in at the exam site (Civic Center) by 7:30am, this is important; you will be dropped a letter grade if tardy! The legislature is in town tomorrow, so there might be some traffic at the Capitol, foresee it and act promptly.
- A quick review session will be held on Nicenet tonight from 9:ish to 10:00, or maybe later.
- Part C of the Take-Home Test is due Monday, but it is best to get it finished before the exam tomorrow.
- Books due Monday for 100 points! If you don't bring your books on Monday (without a check for $100) McCarron will allow you to turn it in the next day; you will only get 75pts. For every day you don't bring your book, she will take away 25 points. This will continuously happen until McCarron has taken -200 points from your grade. AND DON'T SCAM HER; SHE KNOWS, SHE KNOWS.

-- Be Prompt, Be Safe, Be Ready for tomorrow is D-Day.

Whoo-hoo! It's the day after the APUSH exam. Everyone, I hope you find the rest of the weekend enjoyable and relaxing, though I doubt it will be.

- Be sure to bring Part C of the Take Home test with you to class on Monday. By now, it should have been completed.
- Be sure to bring your "The Enduring Vision" on Monday as well; you know as well as I the penalty for not bringing the book.
- In class come next week, and those that follow, I believe we're doing something along the lines of assessments. Now that the exam is over and done with, I could be wrong.

-- We made it through the course! Woot!
