For Monday April 13 David Kay ON Monday we looked at a map of Europe that was drawn out of soldiers and other things (such as a pig and a bug) in discussion of World War I. Also, McCarron discussed the course request forms for next year, answering questions and telling us the probable start time: 7:20 a.m.
Tuesday April 14 David Kay Today we took term quiz #23, only one more to go! During the quiz, Ms. McCarron signed our course request forms for social studies. After this we began watching a movie about The Great War, The War to End All Wars, or World War I, if that's your fancy. WE did not get our lecture notebooks back.
Wednesday April 15 Georgia Mitchell 2nd Period Today we got our ungraded notebooks back to take notes on World War I a.k.a The Great War. We listed the MAIN causes of the war: Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism. We compared the alliances of WWI to those of WWII. At the end of class we turned our notebooks back in to be graded. There was an APUSH practice exam today after school. It went very well.
Wednesday April 16 David Kay Today we continued to watch the movie about The Great War, focusing greatly on the bloody trech warfare, specifically the battle of the Somme. Do your terms for next Tuesday. Also, don't forget about the practice test on Saturday. 22 DAYS UNTIL THE APUSH EXAM!
Friday April 17 David Kay Today we took lecture note on the beginning of WWI, discussing the importance of unrestricted submarine warfare and the Sussex pledge. Tomorrow is the practice exam, and 21 DAYS UNTIL THE APUSH EXAM!
Sunday, April 19 Georgia Mitchell 2nd Period The last terms quiz is on Tuesday, Terms list #24. There are nineteen days until the A.P. APUSH exam. The first exam review session is scheduled this Friday, April 24.
--Review-- For the Week of April 13-19 Johnathan Morris, 2nd
For clarity, the title of the movie we watched on the Great War (WWI) was Shell Shock.
Reminders for the forgetful... - The quiz for Terms List #24 is on the 21st, this Tuesday. Be sure to have read the chapter(which you probably won't) and study your terms. - The AP U.S. History Exam is on May 8th... coming up pretty soon, so study hard.
