2nd Period
Today we discussed the test, which will be on Friday. It covers Units 6 and 7. Two separate review sheets and time-lines are due on Friday: one for each Unit. The online reviews are tonight and tomorrow.
There was a handout on everyone desk with a different group or name on it that we are supposed to research by tomorrow's class.
We took notes about Captains of Industry, a.k.a. Robber Barons, laissez-faire, and the Gilded Age. We looked at a chart of the wealthiest individuals in U.S. history.

TOday we were organized in accordance with the labor organization that we had, and typed the answers to the questions on the card using the alpha smarts. AFter that, we began to draw a "union man" (just like the poilitical party men, but with your union) and then with the last few minutes of class began to read over the documents that we picked up at the beginning of class.

2nd Period
Today we got in our labor union groups and drew a "union man" poster representing our assigned union. When we were finished, we walked around and took notes from the posters about each union. We watched a video about the Homestead Union and Carnegie for the remainder of class.

Today was the unit 6 and unit 7 TEST! That pretty much sums up the class, but remember to do Terms list #19 and read the Labor DBQ and be ready on Monday.

For the week of February 16 - 22, 2009, bloggers G. Mitchell and D. Kay included in their comments all the necessary criteria needed for the assignment; what we did in class, what we took notes on, and reminders of things due on later dates.

- Remember to read the DBQ given earlier in the week.

2nd pd, review
In addition to the terms quiz on Tuesday, there is also a regional quiz on Monday (tomorrow) and another on Wednesday. As it is a surprise, study all the states; and remember, spelling counts!
